I met Charisse and Wes when my wife and I lived in Texas. I had answered a Craig’s List ad they had posted looking for a designer to create work for their upcoming debut triathlon. And the rest is history…I’m their official illustrator/designer for every event Big Earth Racing puts on.
This work was for their very first triathlon, the Spring Fall Classic, and we went with a “spaceship launch” theme to signify the launch of their new race series. They needed designs for posters, postcards, running shirts, and a general cotton T-shirt. The shuttle illustration is one of my favorite illustrations I’ve done, and I couldn’t be happier with the results of the project as a whole.
